GoDaddy customer service is a joke and a waste
I've had GoDaddy since I opened my business in 2006. Over the years my experience has worsened with GoDaddy to the point where GoDaddy is, in my opinion, worthless.
I called GoDaddy because of 360 problems I'm having and I waited for 15 min to speak with someone. I told her immediately I was a genius in my field and an IT idiot in her field. She promptly gave BAD advise, realized it and they told me that she couldn't fix the problem that may have resulted due to her bad advise. I then asked for a supervisor and was placed on hold for another 35 minutes to speak with a supervisor who advised he "didn't have an email address" that I could send the info to and he couldn't help me.
I WASTED AN HOUR to wind up not only not resolving the issue for which I called but was placed in a worse position then when I called.
I'M SO DISGUSTED WITH GO DADDY as I'm SURE MANY of their other customer are as well. I truly wish that SOMEONE their had expertise and ethics but I wouldn't put a dime on it!!!

Don't use GoDaddy for hosting or anything else.
GoDaddy used to be a great company years ago but now they are just a money sucking , customer service horror story. I have 2 identical sites on wordpress and one is hosted by a much lesser known company and never has issues with updates or anything else.
The site I host with GoDaddy has issues which affects my business and sales at least 5 times in the last year. They do automatic updates and who knows what else then when the site has issues try to sell you a package for a wordpress specialist help ticket. My web developer warned me about this but I didn't listen. Now I see the scam.
They mess up your site and then make you pay to fix it constantly. It's all a scam. Smaller companies are cheaper and more reliable. GoDaddy found ways to scam customers.
It's all calculated. They are a total scam company now.
I recently went to a business to business show and I found at least 5 businesses who switched off GoDaddy for the same reasons!!! Beware of their scams!

Leaked my PRIVATE data, then their customer service laughed at me on the phone.
I had purchased a domain name from GoDaddy.com, then I paid extra to have the domain owned anonymously so no one would email or call me asking to buy the domain.
I then listed the domain for sale and paid a 20% commission to GoDaddy to sell it for me, anonymously. I did NOT want my name or info shared with the buyer. BUT GUESS WHO I RECEIVED A CALL AND MULTIPLE TEXT MESSAGES FROM? The Buyer!!!
The buyer then told me over the phone that they got all my info simply by asking the GoDaddy customer support for my info. EVEN THOUGH I PAID to have the domain made anonymous, and then PAID again for them (GoDaddy) to sell it for me (anonymously). They did the exact opposite!
Not to mention, they did not notify me of the domain selling. I just had to find out on my own by seeing that it wasn't owned by me anymore. They were going to keep my money without giving me MY MONEY.
These people are THIEVES!

Go Daddy Fat Shames Long Time Customer and Refuses to Stop
I have been a Go Daddy customer for 19 years and have paid the company thousands of dollars each year for domain names, websites and other services the company offers. For 18 years and 10 months it has been a great relationship as a VIP client. That is until the last two months when GoDaddy began fat shaming me on an almost daily basis with its suggested domains. *** Examples (my first name)heavy (my last name).com; (my first name)heavy(myfirstname)(my last name).com (as well as .us)
I reported this to Go Daddy, including my VIP Contact Brian Roof and several others in the VIP department. At first they blamed it on an algorithm that purportedly suggest names based on other domains you own. Neither I nor my company own names that contain the word heavy, fat, obese, diet or anything like that,
The content of one website uses the word "heavy" as an adjective to discuss the merits of heavy appetizers vs a sit down dinner for a future event. So in order to have got the word heavy Go Daddy would have had to use Artificial Intelligence to scan the content of websites (words and pictures, meta tags) , not just domain names owned by GoDaddy customers.
Had this been a one off occurrence, I probably wouldn't bother writing this, but this is now something that has been happening just about every day for the last two months. It's totally ridiculous. If I have multiple websites and hundreds and hundreds of domains, why such a concentration with my name and heavy?
Whether or not this is an ethical practice on behalf of GoDaddy or within its terms of service agreement, the development may affect others so I am making a good faith effort to get the word out here and on other complaint sites. Go Daddy's reps were informed that this was coming, because they lack the sensitivity, willingness or apparent authority to stop this oppressive shaming from occurring.
